Thanks for putting this info up on the web, I have posted links to it on a few other BP forums.

We need to constantly remind and educate ourselves as well as others.

(link removed to prevent spam trigger)

If not for proactive "bipolarbears" like yourself, where would we be in a society where so much stigma [and negative media] persists? My entire world [professionally .... I am a 26-year J.D., Esq., CFRD" .... as well as .... personally .... a 23 year marriage and relationships with six adult children] has been irreparably destroyed. The denial stage of a "Type-A" like me ended in total crisis. But, I have been mood-stabilized for almost two years thanks to the "personality pill cocktail" monitored by my Psychiatrist, regular sessions with my Pscychotherapist and proactivity as a member of three support groups umbrellaed under DBSA [Depression And Bipolar Support Alliance] for the past year. In updating myself online today, I just learned about your site and have subscribed for news updates. Thank you and God bless you with ongoing success in our gaining a better understanding of this genetically programmed malady which seems to just cut many of us off at the knees with a machete, per se, .... and seemingly many of us who were previously able to function and achieve in life at superior levels. SOS = Stomp Out Stigma! Then maybe many of us would have come forth medically with the initial onset of inner turmoil way sooner in our lives! [2-15-07]
